CName and TXT records not being saved in Weebly domain name management console

Hello!

 

We are setting up a Google workspace account for non-profits and we have trouble validating our domain name with TXT or CNAME record, using the token provided by the Google workspace domain validation tool, which is now the only validation method nowadays. Basically, when adding a TXT dns record, following instructions from https://admin.google.com/u/1/ac/signup/setup/v2/verify/txt, it does not appear to be saving in the Weebly administration console. Our website and domain are with Weebly and the website URL is https://www.shverdun.org

No errors are thrown, and the Google validation tool fails after scrubbing for 5 minutes. I have tried coming back after 15 minutes to the Google Workspace validation tool before hitting the verify button, to no avail.

CName and txt records added the previous day are not showing up in the console either. When adding the txt record from this interface (https://www.weebly.com/home/domains), I receive a could not save the new record message.

 

Is there anything else I should know?

This is not ideal! I have just checked your DNS and you're right, it's not updating.

I'm just chiming in here from Square after taking a quick look at your domain! 👋

After searching for your domain on who.is, we can see that your domain is currently mid-transfer, which would explain why you've been unsuccessful in adding any records to your domain. You'll need to wait for this transfer process to complete. Once it's done, you'll be able to add and change the records with your new registrar.
